Derroura Mountain Bike Hire

Derroura Mountain Bike Trail is one of Coilltes custom built and designed trails in the beautiful setting of Connemara in the West of Ireland. With and ever increasing interest in outdoor sports and activities for the individual or families, Coillte have invested in purpose built trails for mountain bikers. The trails are designed with safety in mind and are laid out in such a way as to reduce the risk of interference with other forest users and also to control the speed of the mountain biker.

Derroura is a relatively easy trail to ride, with nothing too technical. It can however be quite tiring in areas, and as you can see from the elevation graph below, there is quite a lot of climbing along the way.

Derroura MTB trail is just one of the four purpose built trails by Coillte with others situated in Ballyhoura, Portumna and Ballinastoe. Once you have ridden the trails through Derroura we are sure it will fast become one of your favourites as it is ours and will be back for more.
